Joining a group is simple. Browse open groups by campus, day of the week and stage of life, then message the leader and tell them you're coming. That's the whole process.
Your first night, plan to arrive a few minutes early, bring nothing but yourself and expect to mostly listen. Nobody will ask you to pray out loud, read a passage or share your story before you're ready.
Try a group for two or three weeks before deciding. If it isn't the right fit, tell us and we'll help you find one that is , nobody at OSC should be doing faith alone.
How to pick a group
By campus
Start close to home , most groups meet near the campus you attend.
By day
Pick the night that actually works for your schedule, not the one you wish worked.
By stage
Men's, women's, co-ed, young adults, marriage and mixed-stage groups.
By topic
Some groups study a book of the Bible, others work through a topic like marriage or freedom.
Common questions
I'm brand new to church. Will I be lost?+
No. Groups are the best place to ask beginner questions, and most groups have someone who just started too.
What if I have to miss a week?+
Life happens. Tell your leader and come back the next week.
Is my information private?+
What's said in group stays in group. That's the first rule every leader sets.
What if no group fits my schedule?+
Let us know. We'll look for something new or help you start a group at a time that works.
