History
Our Savior’s Church, located in Broussard, Louisiana was born in the hearts of Pastor Jacob and Michelle Aranza and was launched in October of 1998. Within a few months the church had grown to 300 in attendance.
In 2000, Our Savior's Church began construction on the new sanctuary and educational building. By this time, the average attendance was at 450. Through a series of miraculous events, we were able to complete our current facilities on Father’s Day of 2001.
In 2002, Our Savior’s Church experienced still another influx of growth. Attendance was reaching 1,100 and we began making preparations for future growth. Part of this preparation included pastoral and staff additions and in 2004 God added to our leadership team in a tremendous way. It was also in 2004 that Master's Commission became a part of our growing ministry family.
In 2006, we completed the next phase of our growth with the completion of our Student Ministries and Children’s Ministry buildings. By this time growth had climbed to almost 1,500.
In January of 2009, construction for the new Lafayette campus was brought to completion and the work of God was expanded to the greater Lafayette area.
It’s hard to believe that in 1998 Our Savior’s Church was just a thought in the imagination of God. Today, attendance is at 1,800 and we are serving the Acadiana area with a leadership team committed to fulfilling the Great Commission. These numbers represent not just growth and numbers but lives that are being touched and transformed by the power of Jesus Christ.
