Our Savior’s Church, located in Broussard, Louisiana was born in the hearts of Pastor Jacob and Michelle Aranza and was launched in October of 1998. Within a few months the church had grown to 300 in attendance.
In 2000, Our Savior's Church began construction on the new sanctuary and educational building. By this time, the average attendance was at 450. Through a series of miraculous events, we were able to complete our current facilities on Father’s Day of 2001.
In 2002, Our Savior’s Church experienced still another influx of growth. Attendance was reaching 1,100 and we began making preparations for future growth. Part of this preparation included pastoral and staff additions and in 2004 God added to our leadership team in a tremendous way.
In 2006, we completed the next phase of our growth with the completion of our Student Ministries and Children’s Ministry buildings. By this time growth had climbed to almost 1,500.
In January of 2009, construction for the new Lafayette campus was brought to completion and the work of God was expanded to the greater Lafayette area.
In January of 2010 we expanded with our third campus opening in Opelousas. The campus is a thriving life giving campus in the heart of downtown Opelousas and in just over a year is averaging 400 at our weekend services and is about to begin a second service.
Our Absolute –
The Great Commission (Matthew 28:19)
The Great Commission was not intended as a suggestion and cannot be compromised in any way.
Everything we do as a church family is simply a tool in helping us to fulfill the charge God has given to
each of us.
Our Mission -
To lead people into a growing relationship with Jesus and others. (Matthew 22:34-40)
It is through The Two Greatest Commandments that God reveals what is most important...relationship.
It is the health and maturity of our relationship with others that reveals the health and maturity of our
relationship with God. It is for this reason that Our Savior’s Church exists... to lead individuals and families
in a growing relationship with Jesus and others.
Our Strategy –
To create environments where our absolute can be fulfilled and our mission can be accomplished. (Isaiah 62:10)
Our goal is for you and your family to be encouraged and empowered to walk out what God is asking of
you. We, as a staff and volunteers, use these values to best determine how to serve you in building the
Kingdom.
People: “Every person’s need is my opportunity”
Personal Growth: “I will prosper as my soul prospers”
Productivity: “I will leave it better than I found it”
Presentation: “I will value others with a spirit of excellence”
Partnership: “Our team work makes the dream work”
